You probably aren't aware of this, but the monitor I do all my art and everything else on is an eight year old CRT (the big deep old-fashioned ones) with a 12 inch screen and a melty patch on one side where my anglepoise lamp got too close to it. It whistles alarmingly :<
Twelve inches. Wow. It didn't really hit me until recently, but my graphics tablet is actually bigger than my screen.
I can do 1024/768 pixels, and I can just about do 1200/1024 although it's impossible to read text on menus; I've got it on 1200/1024 right now because I have to put the resolution up to get a decent sized image in OpenCanvas, and my eyes are watering as I type this :'D
Last night I snapped and ordered a 22 inch tft monitor on Amazon (after pestering poor Nightmaria for an hour over whether she thought matte is better than glossy or what "premium DVI with HDCP" might mean). 22 inches! I got a tape measure out to check and my entire desk is only 31 inches across. What has science done??
They reckon it should arrive between the 8th and 9th of July. My effective painting canvas is about to nearly double in size.
Prepare yourselves.
I did actually spend some time staring at a
twenty eight inch monitor and wondering what the hell you'd use something like that for. Gaming, apparently. But I don't play PC games except for Angband (which doesn't have any graphics anyway), and it was too expensive for me XD Plus I'd probably have had to get rid of either my bed or my wardrobe to get it into the room. >_>
Oh yeah and I also ordered Alestorm's new album, so I'm going to be unbearable for the next few weeks. YAHARRR SCURVY DOGS
Comments, or the lack thereof...I feel like a right pageview whore complaining about this, but it's a bit depressing sometimes when I upload something and it gets 10 +favs in as many minutes - and no comments. I'm not out for asspats, honestly, I'm just interested as to why you +faved it
The reason this came up is I was looking at my ancient abandoned 2003 account and one thing I noticed was even though my Sonic scrawls were terrible, I was getting ten or fifteen comments on everything - not from watchers, just from random people who passed by and thought they'd chip in. I know that was a long time ago and DeviantART has changed, but I miss that easy friendliness...
Anyway I do check out people's pages and do my best to comment on a few things if they've checked out something of mine, because I'm cool like that

I will live like it's 2003 again!
Requests are closed for now
I'd like to get a bit more variety in here so I'm up for doing a few requests and/or trades. As a general rule I don't like doing "sexy" pictures of cartoon characters (especially do not ask for Sonadow, NxR or any of those acronym thingies plz) but other than that I'm pretty open to suggestions.
No more requests until I've done the ones I've got thanks!

Well, you've got an impressive collection here. Your Vengeance illustration is what has drawn me in...I think I'll keep on eye on you and see what other goodies you put out over the next few months.
Thank you for sharing, and keep up the good work.
Yeah, I'm not big on new technology. I had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century, I was still using Windows 98 until about 2 years ago. I guess the next thing to be updated should be my Photoshop (Photoshop 5 - not CS5, Photoshop 5. I got it in 1998)
I heard some bad things about ME though :\

I will need to hook up this newer computer soon as most of the stuff I like to do when I'm not writing (I.E. Some games, ect) are no longer supporting ME.
Anyway, it seems like you're doing extremely well going "Old School" so to speak, so update when you need, not just to get the latest tools and toys. It's the way to do it...at least according to an Old Fart like me.
